Why Use an Online QR Code Generator?
A QR code lets a phone camera open a URL or read a block of text from print, packaging, or a screen. This page encodes whatever you type in the text box—typically a link or plain text. There is no separate vCard, Wi-Fi, or contact-card form.
Generation runs in your browser with JavaScript after you click Generate. Input is not sent to or stored on an external server. Output is a PNG image (not SVG/vector), black on white, at the pixel size you set.
Key Features & Benefits
Built for a local PNG QR from text or a URL, with size and error-correction controls:
Browser-Based Privacy
The qrcode library runs in your browser. Text and links are not uploaded or saved on a remote database.
Size and Error Correction
Set width from 100px to 1000px and choose error correction L, M, Q, or H (about 7%, 15%, 25%, or 30% recovery). Default size is 300px and default level is M. Colors are fixed black on white; there is no logo overlay.
PNG Download
Download the result as qrcode.png. It is a raster PNG data URL, not a vector file. 1000px is the size cap in the form—not a print-shop vector export.
Free, No Account
Create codes without a login or paid plan. Text is limited to 2,953 characters. There is no coded cap on how many codes you generate in a session.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do QR codes generated on Toolo ever expire?
The PNG itself is a static encoding of your text. Toolo does not add an expiration timer. If you encode a link that later breaks or a short URL that expires, scanning still shows that same data—it will not keep the destination alive.
What is Error Correction Level in QR codes?
L, M, Q, and H add spare data so a scanner can still read a code if part of it is damaged or dirty (about 7%, 15%, 25%, and 30%). This page does not place a logo on the code; higher levels help in general, including if something later covers part of a print.
Is my entered text or link stored on your server?
No. QR codes are rendered in the browser with JavaScript. Input is not transmitted to or saved on a Toolo server.
