Will cropping an image degrade the resolution of the cropped area?
The crop keeps the selected region's pixel size (it does not upscale). The result is then saved with Canvas, so JPEG and WebP can lose some quality. PNG is re-encoded as PNG. It is not a guaranteed lossless extract of the original file.
